Autumn Elegance at the Darby House

Shelia O'Connor's formal fall wedding at the Darby House was magnificent, to say the least. Shelia described her perfect wedding flowers in her initial consultation as being sophisticated and classic. She wanted bouquets that were colorful to contrast with her bridesmaid's black tea length dresses and centerpieces that looked classic and simple. And she knew she wanted deep red, orange and green for her flower colors. From there, Shelia and her floral consultant, Heather, designed the exquisite arrangements you see shared here. Shelia's bouquet was a stunning collection of cream colored roses paired with deep velvety red roses and mango callas. Burnt red hypericum berries accented the flowers with a hint of pittisporum as the collar. Copper wire was swirled down the handle for a personal touch. The bridesmaids carried a similar collection but with a unique green flower called trachelium in the design as an accent. Her centerpieces were lilies and orchids styled with a natural, modern twist. Black Baccara roses finished the look of the cake by placing her toss bouquet on top as the cake topper.
